Founded in 2020, Digging A Hole To China (DHC) aims to promote cross-cultural understanding between the East and West. Featured content reports on business, politics and people, in hopes of improving US-China economic, diplomatic and interpersonal relations. Though not everyone can travel half-way around the globe, in “digging a hole to China” DHC delivers informative content to those, near and far, who are looking to make a positive impact on the bilateral relationship.
"As a kid playing at the beach or helping my mom garden, I would often attempt to 'dig a hole to China' - a popular game among American youth that aims at making a crater so deep as to go right through the earth and come out the other side. While tunneling is not possible, there is still cause for us to engage in a more direct discourse with China. In fact, our well-being depends on it. An understanding of Chinese language and culture forms the foundation for these successful diplomatic and interpersonal relationships.”
- Ben Guggenheim, Founder of DHC
